Contributing to the Future of Business and Society
Pepperdine University is pleased to recognize Faustino Bernadett and his wife, Martha Molina Bernadett’s, distinguished legacy of success and service in the medical field, along with their shared commitment to promoting ethical leadership. In acknowledgment of this legacy, Pepperdine is announcing the establishment of the Drs. Martha and Faustino Bernadett Endowed Faculty Fellows Program at the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School.
Through a $1 million endowment, Dr. Bernadett and his wife, Martha, who serves on Pepperdine’s board, have made a meaningful investment in the future of business education at Pepperdine. Their generosity will allow the program to begin quickly and make an immediate impact, supported by an additional $50,000 in annual funding during the pledge period. This annual support ensures that the fellowship can launch right away while the endowment is being established.
This gift will create a permanent endowment generating approximately $50,000 annually, supporting up to four faculty fellows each year. The Bernadett name will be associated with advancing faculty research that strengthens student preparation, supports ethical business practices, and contributes to the continued excellence of business education at Graziadio.
The Doctors Martha and Faustino Bernadett Faculty Fellows Program will strengthen Pepperdine’s ability to recognize and support outstanding faculty, enrich student learning, and create opportunities for new ideas that serve both business and society.
This partnership reflects Faustino “Tino” Bernadett’s vision and Pepperdine’s mission to prepare leaders of purpose, service, and integrity, individuals who will continue to make a lasting, positive impact for generations to come.
Advancing Faculty Development and Research
With this endowment, the Doctors Martha and Faustino Bernadett Faculty Fellows will help Pepperdine Graziadio continue its work in developing thoughtful and principled business leaders, whether they go on to lead family enterprises, start new ventures, or apply ethical and entrepreneurial approaches in a range of industries.
Through the fellowship, Graziadio faculty will pursue research in areas such as:
Family enterprise and succession planning
Innovation and entrepreneurial leadership
Ethical decision-making in business
Faculty will also bring these insights into the classroom, helping students strengthen their ethical reasoning, entrepreneurial mindset, and business acumen, skills that prepare them to make meaningful contributions in their organizations and communities.
A Shared Commitment to Service and Leadership
The Doctors Martha and Faustino Bernadett Faculty Fellows will also engage with business leaders, alumni, and community partners to continue building Graziadio’s strong network in entrepreneurship and family business.
In addition to this generous gift, Pepperdine Graziadio values Dr. Faustino Bernadett’s ongoing encouragement and leadership as the school continues to broaden its impact within the global business community. The Bernadett family’s example of service and integrity reflects Pepperdine’s core values and continues to inspire others to lead with purpose.
At Pepperdine Graziadio, we believe that success in business extends beyond financial results, it involves a commitment to making a positive difference in the world. Through its academic and experiential programs, the Graziadio School emphasizes the connection between responsibility, ethics, entrepreneurship, and opportunity.
