In 2021 Dr. Faustino Bernadett donated $50,000 to CALL, The Catholic Association of Latino Leaders. In a letter dated 1/21/2022, the organization’s Executive Director Rosie Chinea Shawver expressed her gratitude to Dr. Faustino Bernadett. “Your gift has had a profound impact on the work that we do. While the workings of God in our ministry cannot be adequately expressed on paper, here is a glimpse at what your generosity has helped accomplish.

  • At the height of the pandemic, CALL Los Angeles averaged 30 people on monthly Virtual Holy Hours.

  • From May to December 2021, 283 people attended a CALL Los Angeles event (excluding the Gala), providing spiritual and intellectual formation, helping participants to better integrate their Catholic faith in all aspects of life.

  • CALL Los Angeles hosted the largest Angel Awards Gala to date with 473 attendees. Funds raised supported scholarships to form Latino leaders from pre-school through university.

  • CALL DC raised $10,500 for Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Washington.

  • Facebook: Increased our page likes to over 1700 by December 2021.

  • CALL’s open rate on e-newsletters increased from 22% in June to 35% in December 2021, surpassing the industry standards for religious groups which is 23%.

The formation of Catholic Hispanic leadership is crucial to not only strengthen the fabric of our society but to also influence the future of our Church and country positively. This is a moment in time that our Latino communities are called to action, ensuring our Latino populations are prepared for Church, civic and corporate leadership roles.”
