The COVID-19 outbreak has left some of the most vulnerable members of the Santa Clara community facing extreme financial and professional uncertainty. With off-campus jobs and internships no longer a possibility, some students cannot pay rent, buy food or secure reliable internet access as they shift to online learning. Your gift of any amount provides emergency financial help, but also offers students hope and the strength of community they need to to finish their academic year strong. Support Scholarships for Black Students
Established in 2020, the goal of the Black Excellence Scholarship Fund is to help recruit, retain, and educate Black undergraduate students, to further diversify the Santa Clara campus community, and to catalyze systems that allow for greater solidarity with students of color. This is a need-based scholarship with priority granted to Black first-generation college students.
Support Valued SCU Staff and Faculty
Santa Clara University has established the Faculty and Staff Special Assistance Fund in order to provide University employees affected by the COVID-19 crisis with emergency financial support. Dedicated SCU faculty and staff have been keeping SCU running amidst this new reality. Yet, some are now facing financial hardship.
