Book Buddies is a featured program through The Molina Foundation where Tino Bernadett is the Vice President and Treasurer.
Book Buddies distributes new books to community agencies serving children and families in need. They have partnered with organizations to distribute more than 8 million books to help create word-rich and healthy homes.
As a result of the partnership between LAUNCH Flagstaff and Read On Arizona on January of 2021, Flagstaff Arizona was selected to receive a grant of approximately 17,000 new children’s books to help local families promote reading and learning during the COVID-19 pandemic through the Book Buddies Program.
Tino Bernadett and his wife Martha have dedicated their lives to improving literacy in impoverished communities by providing access to books for children of all ages. Tino Bernadett’s wife Martha Molina Bernadett, M.D., MBA is the President and CEO of The Molina Foundation. Tino Bernadett understands the importance of literacy and education in overcoming health disparities, which is what led to the formation of The Molina Foundation in August 2004.
Since its inception in 2004, The Molina Foundation has worked with more than 2,500 organizations and schools towards this end, donating over 8 million books and hosting workshops and programs for educators and families.
