The Molina Foundation PSJA Services Donation

Updated: Jul 23

In August, The Molina Foundation donated a large collection of books to the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District in Pharr, TX. Dr. Faustino Bernadett and his wife Martha were recognized on the PSJA Library Services Facebook page for their generous donation. PSJA’s vision is to ensure every student in the district is well-prepared to participate, compete, and excel in a global society while nurturing multi-generational prosperity. The books provided by The Molina Foundation will be distributed through schools in the district over the next few weeks.

Dr. Faustino Bernadett PSJA Services Donation

PSJA Library Services posted this thank you to its Facebook page on August 26, 2020:

“We are extremely grateful for the enormous gift from the Molina Foundation. We started the separation of these books for future distribution. We are beyond thankful to all of you for our great gifts! Our excellent PSJA librarians are incredible to offer their assistance to our project. We can't wait to have these books in the hands of our students during these critical times.”

It’s not surprising to those who know the Bernadetts that this is yet another step in their philanthropic journey. Dr. Faustino Bernadett and his wife Martha have dedicated their lives to improving literacy in impoverished communities by providing access to books for children of all ages. Dr. Faustino Bernadett’s wife Martha Molina Bernadett, M.D., MBA is the President and CEO of The Molina Foundation. Dr. Bernadett understands the importance of literacy and education in overcoming health disparities, which is what led to the formation of The Molina Foundation in August 2004.
